What would a "Post-NCAA" world of College Football look like?

I've seen more than a few people expressing displeasure with the NCAA recently, for a multitude of reasons. What do you think a "Post-NCAA" landscape would look like? Who would be in charge? What rules would change? How would we even get to that point? Discuss!

Schools would most likely govern themselves, pay players, no recruiting restrictions, etc. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

If there is another governing body, I'm sure it will be multiple governing bodies vying for power. Some conferences will go to one, some will go to others. It will be the end of college athletics as we know it. And its a shame that such a joke like the NCAA is holding this thing together.

If the NCAA had punishments written into the rule book instead of just making sh#t up on the fly, maybe there would be less violations. For example: For every primary recruiting violation you get this many scholarships taken away, 1 year bowl ban, etc. For more than two primary violations: the punishment is this many scholarships taken away, 3 year bowl ban and hefty fine. For secondary recruiting violations is a hefty fine and 1-2 years probation. If these were written in black and white for everyone to see, it would likely deter a school from doing it knowing the consequences for getting caught may be detrimental. Can't keep making sh#t up on the fly and then looking soft or nothing will change i.e SEC and Miami

I like this idea

Take the discretion out of the NCAA's hands when it comes to enforcing the rules.

But...then how would the NCAA officials be able to lower the punishment depending on how much money they get slid under the table?

They just report that their investigation came up inconclusive

Like the NFL's lack of discretion.
