I have moved beyond the "If Callahan gets fired" mode and on to "When Callahan gets fired" mode.
So, when is our new coach in place? I have heard suggestions on this board and others that the new coach will be in place next week. I wish that were true, but I am thinking it won't be until January, since most of the candidates will have teams in Bowl games. I think it's unlikely that someone would leave their bowl-bound team early, even for the best job in college football. I want to be wrong here, but I think we won't know until January, just because of the caliber of candidates we're looking at. Is that crazy?
