when do they usually fire football coaches?

the reason I ask is I am concerned about this year recruiting class. I would hate to loose such a great group. and I could see a lot of them walking if we dont bring in a BIG name(and we wont be able to)

A coach can get canned anywhere between now and December. It isnt about getting a big name, it is about getting the right name. Someone who can get everyone to buy into what he is selling, as that simply isnt the case right now.

the big name thing was only in reference to keeping recruits

 
the recruits dont seem to matter at this point. We cant seem to win with the high star players we have now, better to take the hit this year in recruiting, than suffer through more years of this.

I'm just saying one more year. and I think most OU fans would argue that the recruits do matter. even the most anti-blake ou fan gives him some credit for their early success

It's always better to fire people on a Friday. Studies have statistically shown that there's less chance of an incident if you do it at the end of the week.
