With all the spirited debate, it's pretty easy to see which members of HB think Watson should go, and which members think he should stay. Here's my question: Forget what you WANT to happen, what do you think WILL happen? I suspect most people will think he remains, but I'm wondering now more than ever if I'm off base in this assumption.

For the record, despite my feelings I believe he will be back next year and hopefully he proves me wrong and puts together a tremendous offense.

I don't see any teams going after Watson and I don't see Bo letting him go. Watson will be a Husker next season. I am not a huge Watson fan but I will give him one more chance to prove himself...He has had plenty of time and will have some weapons next season, no excuses.

The offense was quite formidable this year until Taylor was hurt. This is why I think he returns. HOWEVER, i do believe (maybe more hope) that he will be on somewhat of a hotseat in that next year he better raise the consistency level considerably, and be able to demonstrate that consistency even if a player or two goes down. He will have a beast of a line, more experienced qb, a 3rd year starter essentially workhorse rb, and a returning go to man at wr (kinnie). I think he had better find a way to put this peices in the right places or the axe could drop.

The offense was quite formidable against mediocre defenses and would inexplicably disappear against decent teams this year until Taylor was hurt. This is why I think he returns. Fixed that for you.

his stock has diminished, no one wants him for a HC, we are stuck with him and we will regret it by the end of next year....we can't have this underachiever in the Big 10, we will get killed with Watson next season.
