Wisconsin, it was national tv playing for a championship and we were ranked 12th against an unranked team we had already beat.

We lost to Tech by 60. We lost to wiscy by 39. Tech

Ok not really. Obviously wiscy for reasons that already have been and will be discussed.

They won a share of the national championship. Not even close. OU in 1990 would have been a better choice for that year.

Neither compares with the recent embarrassments. Getting manhandled by Minnesota last season is an underrated embarrassment.

OU in 1990 was the bigger blowout.....but we were used to getting beat by OU. Saying nothing compares to recent embarrassments is an opinion, which you are as free to share on a message board as I am.

As much as 70-10 hurt, by then they'd already lost to Southern Miss and would go on to lose others. On 12-3-2012, there was a primetime national audience regardless of how many actually watched, with a conference championship on the line.

Objectively, Texas Tech. Bigger loss, worse opponent.

Which one stung worse? Wisconsin, for all of the reasons mentioned.
