Wisconsin, it was national tv playing for a championship and we were ranked 12th against an unranked team we had already beat.

. Husker players mostly gave up in the beginning of early 2nd quarter ..... disappointment and embarrassing.

2004 Texas Tech was built in excuse ..... the first year using a radical West Coast offense and new HC. Plus Joe Dailey and true freshman Beau Davis (1-7-3 picks) didn't mix well with new fangled WC attack. And away venue.

Orange Bowl

Miami - 22

NU -0
I was at that game. That was more of a beat down than any other game I have seen NU play. The score doesn't look too bad, but Nebraska was completely physically dominated in that game. NU had like 120 of total offense. Defensively they played hard, but were completely outclassed. Miami could have scored more if they chose to do so.

It was a different era and teams didn't worry about scoring tons of points against an opponent as long as they were dominating the other team. The racking up points against everyone really got going with Spurrior at Florida. The way the game is played today and the way players, for lack of a better word, quit sometimes, it makes for a lot of scoring. I am not just talking about NU, you can look at lots of scores from lots of games and see this.

It wasn't embarrassing it just showed how outclassed NU was athletically against Miami.

Well this topic is specifically 2012 Wisconsin or 2004 Texas Tech, all these off topic posts geez. Thank you Count for trying to keep this thread in check.
If just analyzing the two losses, one also has to take into consideration where we were at the time in terms of coaching and such. 2004 was Clownahan's first year with players that didn't even resemble the type of players he needed to run his offense. By 2012, Bo had been here long enough to have his players. The Texas Tech game featured Clownahan basically just throwing $hit against the wall to see what would stick. The Wisconsin game featured a Nebraska team that just looked like a monkey humping a football. No doubt about it, the Wisconsin game was a much worse loss.
