Who do you want as our LAST Commits?

I'm hoping we can get:

2 OL: Cochran, Morris, or Santa Maria

1 WR: Walker, Lemelle, or Stringfellow

1 RB: Kemp, Newby, or Taylor

2 DE: Mike Love, and George Williams (plays LB, would move him to a Rover DE to put speed off the edge)

3 DT: (1 Juco, 2 HS): Senat, Peko, Johnson, Munger, Boyd (I would use him at DT, like we do with Meridith)

3 DB: Alexander, Willis, Hunt

Controversial Pass: I would pass on a TE. We under-utilize the TE's we have and I would prefer to use the extra pick on D.

I really think we need to spend this recruiting cycle loading up on Speed and Aggressiveness on D, especially on the Dline. Also, I expect some attrition to happen. None of the Dline guys from the 2010 recruiting cycle have made an impact, except Rome and will be juniors next year.

your thoughts?

Currently at 14, I'm going to say we end up taking 24 guys. So here's my somewhat realistic wish list:

RB: Terrell Newby

WR: Dominic Walker

TE: Beau Sandland

OL: Christian Morris & David Knevel

DT: Toby Johnson

DE: Jamone Boyd

DB: Mackensie Alexander, Priest Willis, & Dashon Hunt

RB: Kemp

WR: Walker

TE: Sandland

OL: Morris & Cochran

DL: Johnson & Russell

DE: Boyd or Mathis( if he qualifies )

DB: Willis & Alexander

RB: Kemp

WR: Walker

TE: Sandland

OL: Morris & Cochran

DL: Johnson & Russell

DE: Boyd or Mathis( if he qualifies )

DB: Willis & Alexander
Mathis has lost intrest in us and we are likely not in it anymore.

As decked said, Mathis said Nebraska cooled on him and vice versa. Boyd's also at risk of not qualifying.. :hmmph

RB: JoJo Kemp, Adam Taylor

TE: Beau Sandland

WR: Dominic Walker or Stringfellow

OL: Christian Morris, Cochran, Knevel

DT: Toby Johnson, Quincy Russell

DE: Randy Gregory

CB: Willis, Mackensie Alexander, Dashon Hunt

S: Tre'Vell Dixon

ATH: Drake Martinez

Italicized are optional

RB Kemp

WR Walker and Stringfellow

TE Sandland

OL Morris and Hinnant

DL Johnson, Boyd, and Delva or Gregory

DB Alexander and Willis

I really like RB Newby, CB Willis, and TE Sandland. These guys stand out to me. The OL and DL are definite needs so we have to get some depth there. Pass rusher on the DL is key need.

I don't think we are going to get plan b and c guys. I really think the staff is going to raid other teams. I have feeling we are going to be starting an Auburn sucks, Tennessee sucks, Cal sucks, and potentially a Wash sucks thread soon.

Revising my list of who I think Nebraska gets, after a strong showing during in-home visits:

Got 16 commits now, I'll guess we go to 27 total. With the possible decommitment of Jonathan Cook I'll project 12.

RB: Terrell Newby

WR: Dominic Walker, Tre'vell Dixon

TE: Beau Sandland

OT: Christian Morris, Aaron Cochran

DT: Quincy Russell, Lavon Hooks, Maliek Collins

DE: Devante Bond OR Casey Sayles

CB: Dashon Hunt, Boaz Joseph

DT = Russell, Hooks

RB = Newby

TE = Sandland

OL = Cochran, Knevel

CB = Hunt, Willis

WR = Walker, Dixon

That would give us 26 recruits (25 if Cook backs out).

DT = 3

DE = 2

LB = 3

DB = 5

QB = 1

RB = 2

WR = 3

TE = 2

OL = 5

That would be a good class.

Also, if my list comes true, this would be a pretty darn good class. Average stars for the class would be 3.42.

Edit: Forgot about Willis.
