Who rode a bike to campus?

I never did but I had two roommates who did...one liked it and the other seemed to hate it.

I did see some rollerblading dorks from time to time but I think that is dead now.

My favorite...leaving for class in my car...not finding a spot after a lap and heading back home!

I would have saved a ton of money in parking tickets and towing charges if I had. My work schedule wouldn't have allowed me to take that much time getting to and from campus.

I wish I could have though.

When I lived on campus, I rode my bike most of the time. When I moved off campus, I used the free bus pass - bus stop was one block from my apartment. Absolutely refused to drive to campus.

It's funny. My daughter will be starting college next year and I mentioned taking her bike and she acted like I was a total idiot. I'm wondering if her starting to pay for her own gas will change her mind.

I did not seem many girls riding bikes...It was mostly all guys

I rode my bike twice my freshman year.. when i went to pick it up from outside of Abel it was gone....

Not sure when it was stolen.. probably in between September and May....

I never rode a bike on or around campus. I went to a school with a small enough campus that walking was a quick enough option, even during a blizzard.

However, now they have campus bikes. There are pretty good size bike racks at each building around campus and the bikes are there to take as you please. Pretty cool idea, IMO.

EDIT: This week is also Bike to Work Week

Doesn't work to have "bike to work week" when you wake up and it's 34 degrees and the wind is blowing.

You're telling me! I'd be all gross and sweaty by the time I got work even if it was nicer out.

I actually really hated bicyclists on city campus. Most of them were pretty inconsiderate. I got winged a couple times by them. All you've got to do is ring a bell or say something and I'll move. The ones that did that didn't bother me but unfortunately they were few and far between.

I remember reading/hearing this somewhere:

When you're walking, you hate cars.

When you're driving, you hate pedestrians.

But everyone hates cyclists.
