Who's eating the Runza-flavored ice cream?

Feels like this should've been an April Fools promotion.

I'd try it. I ain't no b!^@h

I'll try it, but I'm not driving up to a Lincoln location to do so.

Once upon a time I found myself at a random mom n pop creamery in rural Wisconsin. The ice cream flavor of the day was sweet corn. I jumped on it, imagining it to be this salty/sweet, buttery concoction of awesomeness. Instead I got stale waffle cone of plain jane vanilla with literal frozen chunks of corn in it. And it wasn't good vanilla, either. My disappointment was immense; my family mocked my misfortune.

Doing my best Dr. Zoidberg impression, I told them it was bad, and they should feel bad. The high school kid behind the counter gave me quick (and rightfully so) look of, "K, weirdo," as she went back to snap on her phone. My early afternoon slightly ruined, I told myself I should have gone with my gut- and simply stuck with the habanero cheddar cheese curds.

C'est la vie...

And at this moment, El Straino realized "he done screwed up"...

I was dying reading that. Crappy vanilla with frozen chunks of corn.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

It was such a pathetic attempt at something unique, but I did end up forcing myself to eat most of it. I figured I paid for it so I felt obligated (or I'm a glutton for punishment?)

Now the BEST ice cream I've ever had? It's a bit bizarre, but LEGOLAND, Florida. There was a booth, and all they had was vanilla- literally nothing else. But in my 45 years on this planet I haven't enjoyed ice cream more than that. I went back much later and got another cone- just as good.

Damn you, Legoland, what do you put in your softserve?!!

From a little Googling, it sounds like you probably had Dole Soft Serve at Kingdom Cones down there? Dairy Chef is listed as a place that serves the stuff. Alternately, the Firehouse Ice Cream Parlor serves Hershey's Ice Cream (not to be confused with the chocolate company).

Has anyone had or even seen this? I was with a group of Nebraskans last weekend here in Wisconsin. There was doubt that this is real.

We bought a bunch at work and tasted it. We overbought. I consider myself somewhat of a foodie willing to eat/try a large amount of foods. I had to spit my bite out. I kid you not, this is the worst food I have ever tried to consume.
Thanks for sacrificing your taste buds for us!

Yes- that was it, the place by the medieval themed section. Top notch online sleuthing. I am genuinely going to look into stopping at Dairy Chef the next time I'm in O -Town now

Nice! If you need any more confirmation, here's an Instagram story from Legoland Florida where they directly say it's Dole Soft Serve in the description. Edit: Eyyy, it even embedded the description here!
