Why so worried?

First time post, hope I don't step on any toes here this close to game time :hmmph

I drink as much of the kool-aid as the next Husker, and have visions of the Fiesta Bowl like a lot of people on the board.. Why are we (I'm REALLY nervous) sweating out a game against an unranked opponent as much as we are this week?

I know Locker is good, they have good recievers, our unknowns on defense and the inexperiance of Martinez are all valid reasons to give it a second look. That doesn't change the fact that our Top 10 Huskers are playing an unranked team. Any thoughts?

For me, it's simple. Freshman qb playing his first road game in a hostile enviroment. How can you not be nervous about that?

That freshman is very fast. 37-7 NU. Mixing/stirring the :koolaid2: right now.

I think that's where a lot of my queezyness (is that a word?) is coming from. I also haven't been too pumped on on defensive line play the past couple of weeks. I was expecting a lot more intensity coming into this season. Maybe today will be their break out... :bonez

I have been a fan of Martinez since he took out De La Salle in 2008. He is crazy good, I just didn't realize he would so good so fast. :koolaid2: :koolaid2: :koolaid2:

I think a lot of the nerves are the fact that we have still not completely gotten over the nightmares of the Callahan era. We still as a fanbase can not go into a game like this with a unified confidence that all will be well and we'll walk out with a win. Last year we pissed away two games real late that we had, so there's still some of that sense of sitting waiting for something bad to happen, until that feeling is completely done away with-and we're real close to that- there will still be some that are nervous of a game like this even tho we should win it handily according to the paper.

wasn't De La Salle undefeated for a few years straight or something? Or am I wrong?
