Would you rather be deaf or blind?

I ask this, because I am nearly deaf.

I lost part of my hearing 25 years ago in a drunken bar fight. All of it in the left, part of it in the right.

I'm having problems with right ear now.

So, which would you rather lose. Sight, or sound?

My mom is blind and she has not seen myself or my siblings in over 30 years. She has never seen her grandkids or her 4 great grandkids. I know how that makes her feel.

I would much prefer to have my sight.

They have hearing aids, they don't make sight aids, yet.

I would guess you could find ways to work around a lot of everyday tasks without hearing. You would have to be extremely limited without being able to see.

Deaf. I took sign language this semester and it is truly a beautiful language.

I would definitely miss music, though. I really don't know how Id live without music.

I'm 80% deaf in my left ear so I would deaf.

If I was blind than I couldn't watch another Husker Football game, watch movies, watch my son grow up, etc.

Without question, I would rather be deaf. If you can see, you can still enjoy much of what the rest of the world enjoys. With out site, you have to simply use your world would be closed in to only what you can hear.
