Wow what a day

Five-Star Recruit
There are so many funny, stupid, and interesting topics on here today. Since i dont really want to respond to each and every one of them separately i am going to act like king tut and just do my own thing

Culbert is not owed anything by the school. I would bet he volunteered or at least agreed to the change. However i would also bet that had he forseen this situation while in high school he may have gone elsewhere. Great team player, love to see it and it may be known to him that he is going to LB next year anyway.

Turner, I recall seeing several posts not mentioning him, but i think that is probably due more to his injury than him not being a starter. I think we all know he is the number 1 guy.

Keller is behind Ganz right now but right now doesnt matter. It matters only when it is game time. He will be the starter in my opinion.

Octo is going to be a stud this year. Coz seems to have decided to take away the restrictions and let him make plays. Oh yeah he is also healthy (hope it stays that way)

Lucky can and will be an everydown back in my opinion. He now wants that, he now has that, and he isnt going to give it up. I think he will shock us all. I seriously look for around 1700-1800 all purpose yards at a minimum next year from him.

I believe Murillo is going to surprise us all. He is Bowman and Jones recreated. yet he gets his feet wet in the spring and summer as opposed to the first 6-7 games like the other 2. He could be the trump card for our defense.

Swift, gotta love him, but not the best WR on the team not even close. He will play and do well, but if the potential comes out with the youngsters i can see a scenario where swift sort of disappears. It would be better for the team if this happens because that means that the youngsters are better, the problem is that, they are youngsters and right now all they are is potential. I hope it happens, no offense Nate, because if it does then we would obviously be a better team

Suh is the man

Asante will be sick

and finally i must end with my most ferverent opinion of all.................Bo Ruud still sucks, he hits like a girl, and is one of the most overhyped overrated players ever in a Husker Uniform

Go Big Red

How you run through the hole and have him filling it and see if you think he hits like a girl??? Most overated player ever in a Husker uniform is a pretty damn big stretch....IMO of course.

Ever is way too strong. How many years have you followed husker football exactly? If he were actually so "girl-like" with such a deep LB core, don't you think he would b sitting the bench. I dare you to tell him that to his face. everyone is allowed their own opinion on this board, so I won't tell you you are wrong. This is just my opinion.

whoa whoa whoa i never said i didnt hit like a girl or take getting hit like a girl. In fact i am more of a girl than him no doubt. In major college football linebacking terms, he hits like a girl. always hits high and piles on.

he isnt on the bench because he is one of our best options. But I love conspiracy theries so i believe that moving him to SAM was not the best move for him, it was the only move that allowed Octo to start without having to bench Ruud

and uh no im far too chicken to say that to his face

Bo Ruud is football smart and the only LB on our team that was healthy all year. He's by no means a husker legend but he is a good player that if we didnt have we would have been in A LOT of trouble.

I can think of a couple of key interceptions and returns he had.

huh what does that mean outlandoned landon. im confused. You have had many opinions on here and i respect them all. i have mine, i think Bo Ruud is not so good.

I think Grixby is a whole lot better than people give him credit for.

Am i an idiot for having those opinions?

Octo is a better football player than Ruud - my opinion

Dillard is a better LB than Ruud - my opinion

I am not Landon nor do i generally agree with him/her - fact

If you wanna insult me, fine, just do it so i understand it.

Idont try to start wars on here. I dont take things to seriously, but if you wanna rip on me then we can go down that path. I dont know you and would probably like you, but until i meet you, i will withhold any judgement.

What i do know is that i get my information from a whole lot better sources than you- fact.

However, i can and will be man enough to admit that i am not always right and could be wrong here. I hope i am. He may be a first round draft pick and i will gladly eat crow. he may be a 5th rounder and i will admit i was wrong

I don't think you are trying to start any wars, don't worry. I like the humor you are incorporated too, and don't feel sorry for stating your opinions, that is what makes this place what it is. I wouldn't want to say anything to Ruud's face, either, but I just meant I didn't think it was fair to degrade him for doing his best. If he was going weak on hits or backing off on contact, that is one thing, but if he learns the defense, contributes, and makes big plays when we need him to (which he has done) then I think he has the upper hand over someone like Dillard who hasn't seen much of the field. We don't get to see what happens in practices, and obviously the coaches feel he is our best option. I am going to take their word on it.

Keep on keepin' on, Travis...

Please understand that on the Internet some sarcasm gets missed in interpretation.

Travis feel free to express your opinion. I believe that we need more speed at Lb than Ruud can give. Does that mean that I think that he is marginal ?

Maybe to a degree.

Grixby is a great athlete just vastly undersized and out of position a lot.

All I know is Ruud was thought of highly enough to be picked by opposing coaches as the best in the conference. Probably because when they filled out their ballots and thought who deserves to be picked... they remembered looking at films and seeing Ruud make some big plays or lead the Huskers in tackles that day.

As for missing tackles and such... I see em all do that from time to time. Even all pro guys like Urhlacher and Lewis.
