I agree with SkersChicago that Enunwa has the best chance of playing early out of the WRs that we are bringing in this year. He is physically developed enough to contribute.

I for one like the WR situation for next year as we have everyone coming back. Usually you dont get worse with another year of experience.

The only person that stopped Niles Paul this year was Niles Paul. Kid is a great player from the head down.

We will never know how much that injury stiffled Zac Lee. That could very well be the reason that his throws were behind WRs, etc. When you tear ligaments your arm becomes weaker and you have to adjust because you cant throw the ball as hard.

I actually think bell is the WR from this class that could see the field(though I think its a long shot as well....I hope they all 3 RS) bell look like a guy on film that could take a short throw and turn it into a big play. i could see us using him for WR screens, reverses... stuff like that. his film was very impressive to me. he wasnt one of those guys that just headed for the corner and outran everyone..... he made big gains out of broken plays. how big is the school he goes to?

So true so true. I would like to see him work on his route running ability a little though. I know he can't be perfect but watching the way Shippley run routes is amazing. In the Arizona game, Paul's double move doesn't create much space if the DB doesn't fall down. The DB bites on the fake (which is good) but doesn't sell it all that well, and if the DB doesn't lose his footing, Paul doesn't pull away like he did.

I'm not saying he's bad at it (probably the best route runner on the team) but he could sell his fakes a little better.

Paul could end up being like Eddie Royal if he runs crisper routes.

paul reminds me of dwayne bowe. big, physical, talented, not mentally sharp enough to take the next level. hopefully paul can break that mold this year

Dwayne Bowe is on a totally different level than Niles Paul, I agree. It takes a lot more than just improved focus for Paul to come close to Bowe's level. Sure, Paul's size & athleticism are similar to Bowe, but his route-running and ability to catch the ball on the run are atrocious by comparison. Paul has had a couple big games (MZ & AZ), but when you put him up against top DBs, he hasn't done a thing (see Texas, TxTech, VaTech games).

If you can't tell, I'm not a big fan of Paul. His big play ability is great (& much needed on this team), but he has to be the most unreliable Husker WR1 I've seen. How many WR1s have you seen who can't catch a ball while running a crossing pattern at full speed? If you remember the CU game, Paul would've had 2 TDs if he didn't have to fall to his knees on crossing patterns just to ensure he catches the ball securely. Unless Paul gets tough across the middle of the field, he stands no chance of breaking his current mold. My opinion - he'll be nothing more than a punt & kickoff returner in the NFL.

He plays in Boulder so I would imagine that he plays good enough competition. The reason he is so under-recruited is because he was 5ft10 140 his junior year and then shot up to about 6ft2 175 for his senior year.

I love Kenny's game. He is a poor man's Desean Jackson but I think he needs a RS year in the weight room before he is going to play. I stick by my statement that Enunwa would be my first guess to see play their freshman year. But we will see.
