Assessing the talent: Talented athlete also plays basketball. Says Georgia Tech is recruiting him as an option QB.

Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 5%. He likes LSU but they may not have room in the end and have yet to offer. We need to focus on him more if we are serious about him. Talks about teams he is interested in here: http://recruiting.scout.com/2/768485.html

Paul Johnson is recruiting a high school wr to play qb for him? Didn't he used to say he'd run a somewhat different O if he could get the athletes to do so? Now it is looking like he'll run the same offense, just with better athletes running it.

LITTLE ROCK — Athlete Ricky Johnson, 6-2, 190, 4.38, of Lafayette (La.) Carencro plans to make an unofficial visit to Arkansas for the Western Illinois game this weekend. Arkansas is recruiting him as a receiver.

Johnson has nine scholarshipoffers, including from Arkansas, Texas A&M, Nebraska, Ole Miss and Georgia Tech. He has said the Hogs and the Yellow Jackets are his top two choices. The Razorbacks could gain an oral commitment from Johnson with a good visit.

we're out of it........
(Sort of) Committed to Arkansas (ESPN):

Wide receiver prospect Ricky Johnson of Carencro (Lafayette, La.) has given a Class 2009 commitment to Arkansas and coach Bobby Petrino.
Johnson visited campus for Arkansas' week one win, and said, "It was really nice. I liked the facilities and everyone was really nice."

However, Johnson's recruitment might not be over just yet. "(My commitment) is not soft, but it's not real hard. I just want to see other places."
Well then, join the Navy.
