Wyoming vs Nebraska at Invesco 2005?????

I have heard a rumor that Wyoming is trying to hook up a home game with NU at Invesco. Has anyone heard anything on this rumor?

If Wyoming could pull this deal

as a home game it would definitely help their home attendance

increase to help them with the NCAA attendance rule.

It was funny because I was just speaking with a friend about how

Wyoming should try to hook up a deal with CU or Nebraska to play a

home/away schedule with both games being at one of those places.

Something similar to the deal Louisianna Monroe struck with Arkansas

(see link). Once again, it would help Wyoming financially and help their

attendance rankings if a major deal like this were to be struck. Plus, I know a large amount of Colorado Corn Fans that would delight in a situation like this. That is a dream for them... two games in Colorado in one season!

Also.....I have to commend you guys on the loyal fans that you have. As CSU gains more respect, hopefully our fans will become as dedicated to our program as you guy are to yours.

I havent heard about this concept, but youre right, it would be a good fit for both teams. ARe you from Wyo originally, or do you have some other allegiance to one of the teams?

Just looking at the sched, if it would fit anywhere I could see it as our 2nd game of '05. We usually never play the first game away, other than Iowa '99 and WVU in the meadowlands in '94. But then again if it were some sort of kick off classic game, I could see it happening.

Not from WYO! Just a CSU fan who heard the rumor.

I don't really care for or against the Cowboys. However, I would hate to see the Cowboys lose their football program because they can't meet the 17k attendance requirement. Heck, I don't think they have 17k in the whole state!

Anyhow, I heard the scheduling with Wyoming as a rumor and cannot call it a fact. I do know that it probably would sell out at Invesco with the following that the Corn have on the front range. I bet you have just as many if not more fans than CU has here along the front range. Heck everyone knows that Folsum is the stadium that NU and OU built.
