You can't blame it on the Defense

The Defense gave up 14 points. They shut OU down and gave the Offense great field position all night.

How many times did the D give the Ball to the Offense around the 50 yard line?

Agreed absolutely. The defense played well enough to win. The offense made no game changing plays.

Good Point NU had great field position on at least 5 different possessions. The only blame on the D was that long OU drive and narrowing that down to the secondary.

Our defensive backs looked like my highschool's JV team. It was just awful to watch

I thought that our defense played very well. I said earlier in the week that 30 would be the mark for our offense to hit and we were no where near that tonight. Our defense really only broke down for that one long drive and even that wasn't all that bad. Just good plays by OU's offense.

Our LB and front line did have an amazing game against the run however. I was really suprised. I don't think Adrian Peterson would've made any diffrence

I dont think he would've either, maybe a few more yards, but not much of a difference. Our front Seven played AMAZING!!!! They completely took the run away.

One thing I do hate is when we have LINEBACKERS covering WIDE RECIEVERS.....you cant expect a LB to do that with much effectiveness.

It all came down to turnovers and where they happened, Zach had a tough game, the fumble by mo. I give credit to OU for making the plays they needed to win. If we would have got that safety the outcome may have been different.

My hats off to the Defense, they did a great job for most of the game.
