Zac Taylor was not on target tonight.

Despite the numbers on paper, I don't think ZT was feeling it tonight. He should of been picked off at least 2 more times. And that game saving TD to Franz Hardy was underthrown. Thank God that Franz came back to the ball and was able to slip the tackle.

He's not the scrambling, throw on the run type. He's a pocket passer. When the line gives him time, he's pretty efficient. With pressure, it gets challenging. It wasnt his best night, & all good QB's have mediocre games too. The fumbling thing can worry me, but overall, no INT on paper and it was a decent effort. I wasnt too worried.

Although Zac wasn't on target tonight, it's important that we kept winning. That's all we have to do. Keep winning, and things will be alright.

I was happy how ZT still hung in there and made some confident throws when he needed to. Our O-line needs to step up with him so he retains that confidence. Taylor seemed to have some serious zip on the ball at times tonight.

Zac Taylor is the best player on our offense. He's getting crap for protection, no support from the running game and he's still getting it done. I don't think it's fair to criticize him at all. Our o-line still has serious issues.

I agree the protection for ZT was not there tonight compared to our other wins. Hopefully this KU team is just under-rated defensively and had a coming out party against us, because our running game blew tonight.

I agree with your point in saying "he's still getting it done" - Very true. He is getting it done when guys like Lucky had an off game and usually only had like a 3 yard carry. Not to mention the o-line not holding...he still had 4 touchdown passes and almost 400 passing yards...this is the true compeititor that Taylor is and this will really appeal to the NFL teams...the fact that he's not being helped around him and still taking it up on his shoulders to stay strong and win.

KU's defensive line sure surprised me. They lost so many starters from last years team I thought we would lay 50 on them easy. Zac only completed 15 passes but half the time he was throwing on the run. Even though he was a little off target early on if he had a bit more protection tonight he would have hit 60 - 65% of his passes easy.

The O-line had nothing to do with ZT underthrowing Nunn twice last in the first quarter. Trying to thread the needle to Hardy. And the 2 near picks by the Kansas D. The O-line held well during those particular plays.
