Zac Taylor

He's the only guy in the last 6 years who can put a ball where he wants it. Forget about the "heart" part for a second (although I completely agree), Z Taylor was our best true passer since Dave Humm.
can you imagine what could he have done with a line?
not much more...he still wouldn't have had a defense.

also - have you noticed we've been asking this same question for about the last 8 years.

Our 2006 team played championship caliber defense.
Agreed. We got beat up by a good Kansas squad (Kerry Meier, anyone?), and a fantastic OK ST. team, but held everyone else to respectable numbers. If we had solid line play that year, I see us as 11-3, winning the Texas game (ouch, still hurts) and the Auburn bowl game.

I'd go so far as to say if we had better gameplan coaching, our only losses on the season would have been USC and OKSt. We had Texas and Auburn beat, and outperformed Oklahoma in almost every category but tried getting a bit too cute on offense.

I bought my authentic Husker jersey with the #13 on it Zac's Senior season. He's one of my favorite Husker's of all time and the guy was tough as hell! His offensive line should've lined up after the game and let him kick each one of them square in the junk for how hard he got hit all game. Guy couldn't run though.................it's was terrible to watch him try to scramble, but I'll never forget the aTm game and "The Drive."
