Believe it or not, this is actually the 3rd time in Pelini's tenure that we've rushed for over 200 yards and lost. 08 OU and 09 Virginia Tech are the others.

rushing stat is a bit mis-leading with the Martinez 98-yarder, besides that we didn't do a whole lot with the exception of a drive or two...Cross didn't even make it into the game and Beck had Martinez throwing more even as he started struggling more...ugh!

As much as I have been harping tonight on how Nebraska must get back to power football from under center, it really was the defense, or lack thereof that was the story tonight.

I am really hoping that Bo will swallow his pride and take a second look at this two-gap scheme that we are running, and then compare it to the one-gap aggressive defense that Nick Saban runs at Alabama. It allows their defense to play faster instead of having to read and react.

At the end of the day, this Nebraska team has a lot of work to do as this season rolls on.
