Gillespie resigns......

Comish

All-Conference
From where Billy was 3 years ago until today is a slide of Petrino-esque proportions.

Sounds like a lot of issues for him, but my question is about his replacement.

Reports now say they have appointed a tempory interim to hold the fort while they "search for an interim" for this season.

Given his background at Texas El Paso and the rumor that they were interested in him before we let him go, and the fact that he wants to coach again......

It sounds like Doc would be an intriguing candidate. (Haven't heard this speculated anywhere, just a thought)

If so, it could get the Huskers off the hook for some large $$$$

Didnt Doc already find a new job as an operator for Kansas?

He did, but has indicated he would like to Coach again........

I understand, but even with the operations job at Kansas, does that get us off the hook buyout-wize? I was under the assumption it did.
