Our secondary is by far our best defensive unit. If anyone has the discipline to keep contain and NOT bite on the play fake, it should be them. Which means we're still going to blitz with our LBs and "try" to get pressure with our defensive line. Now there'll be a couple of CBs on the edge to make sure Kain doesn't torch us with his feet.

Where I'm concerned is hopefully adjustments are properly made when the other QB (the one who can't run) is in the game.

Is it normal if the ponies are beginning to win me over? There's just a weird kinda of hotness to'em. Cant really put it into words right now.

I'm I favor of this approach! More speed on the field and better athletes to stop good athletes. As long as you have safety types who are physical, it can work.

 
Question: Can you have both (containment AND blitzing)? If you blitz and it doesn't work then can't you then contain? Is this a stupid question? I just remember when the Huskers would blitz and BAM! The qb or rb would be down for the count. That's not happening so much anymore. (And it would happen so that the qb or rb would lose major yardage) But in the event that the qb/rb did slip away there were always a few guys a little up the field that would bring the runner down. So can't we have both?

That's becuase BP doesn't blitz that much. Yes you can do both. What I think they are going to do is commit more bodies to the containment than they have in the past.
