Taylor Martinez Injury Update?

AR Husker Fan

Any word? Looked like a sprained ankle only, but haven't heard an update, and hoping he can be ready for next week. But kudos to him for gutting it out.

I thought we went over this last year. He had his leg amputated from the knee down. What you see out there is a prosthetic. It just needs to be replaced.

Any word on Taariq Allen ? Didn't look good when they helped him off the field. Hope its not as serious as it seemed.

GBR!!!

He was running pretty well still, so I am assuming he is fine.
Agreed. It looked like he pulled a calf muscle to me. Either way, like HuskerShark said, he ran very well and was cutting like it never happened after a few snaps.
I am pretty sure it wasn't a calf pull. He went to the sidelines and had his ankle looked at. They even had to retape it. I for one can see this being a long term issue since he has had ankle/foot problems the last two years. Let's hope he is okay and won't have any lingering effects next week. He is definitely one person we need healthy for the long haul.

In the 4th Martinez looked gimpy and then seemed to be ok. Was it the same ankle as in 2010? With Armstrong having surgery, Carnes moved to receiver, does that leave RKIII and then Marsh as #3?

I musta missed something...what/when was Armstrong's surgery?

As for Taylor, he limped in at half but seemed to be back to himself in the 2nd half.

He seemed fine in the 2nd half once they rewrapped that ankle. I think he'll be fine, but he needs to be careful the rest of the way. We lose him and the season is over..............

Armstrong had surgery to fix something he injured in HS. He will be okay for spring ball
