Osborne - Nebraska/Oklahoma agreement "in principle" reached

Mixed feelings here.

I love the idea because of the historical value, but as others point out, it will mean little to the players, unless both teams are highly ranked.

For the fans though, the old geezers, it will be a cool game. Somehow, I suspect we end up paired with the Sooners in a bowl game before 2021, which might steal some thunder from the 50th anniversary game.

In 2021: (if humans survived)

- Both OU and UNL will be a different conferences. Also different stadiums.

- Tackling is now illegal. Only touch. (protect injuries)

- Referee's are no longer used. Game monitor will be thousands of micro helmet, pads, hands, knees, feet, and elbow cameras plus every field angle. All video streams sent to supercomputer for the final decisions....maximum of nano second.

- 105 roster will be divided by 52 women (Title X NCAA requirements)

- In pregame, national anthem will be changed to Kimigayo or Zhōnghuá Míngúo gúogē song

A Nebraska vs Oklahoma game in 2021. I will be 50 years old. Hard to believe its just 9 years away, but so much changes in that amount of time. Technically, we would be considered the "old fogies" by the younger generation. Not yet the "Blue Hairs", but heck we'll get looks when we come in with our hard driving rock and roll blaring. Nebraska vs Oklahoma prety much needs to happen every year in my opinion.
