Bo made most of these guys who have went to the NFL, into what they are today. Amakamura was recruited as a WR/RB if I remember correctly. BO's decision was to try him out at DB/CB. Look at him now. With Callahan, we had a lot of wasted talent leave our field. Suh, Hagg, Amukamura, Dennard, Crick, David, and Cassidy are just some to name. Not even including the standout talent we do have this year.

Prince was recruited as an athlete and they let him have a token "shot" at being a RB, which is the side of the ball he wanted to be on (it's the more glamorous position), but he was playing CB since his freshman year and before Bo.

Dennard wasn't even recruited by Callahan and he wasted his freshman year being the up-man on kick returns, under Bo Pelini. He did block that one time for Niles Paul on a KR-TD, though.

Jared Crick redshirted as a freshman in 2007, as did Cassidy. Hagg played special teams. Suh redshirted when he was a freshman, although it was forced due to injury.

You had other guys who 'wasted' redshirt opportunities such as Lucky and Paul, but definitely in those cases, they wanted to get on the field. I am a fan. just because i don't drink the red kool aid doesn't mean i don't support the huskers. I just know every time we face a good team we get beat down and scraping by all these mediocre teams and acting like we are tough sh#t when in our schedule was soft because of a down year. This reminds me of Tim Tebow when he was at Denver and then when they faced the better teams they got their a$$ handed to them. I know this team can play much better and i wouldn't be as down if Bo finally fixed some things instead of letting them happen every year with the fumbles and penalties.
