To be the man you've got to beat the man.

If we get blown out, no post season ranking, no erasing the pathetic excuse of a B1G championship and lucky to be ranked pre-season AND probably cost us some recruits.

After USC last year, and Raymond's comments about look at them and look at us, thes eguys need to learn how to get punched in the mouth etc, I would hope our guys would be mad at the world angry. However, IMO, the lack of fire or anger shown when Borland body slammed Martinez and when the other guy went for his knees and the O did nothing leads me to believe that they do not have this "anger, fire or nastiness" needed.................Wisky punched us HARD and we folded like cheap laundry.
I keep reading about this Borland dude and how he "body slammed" Martinez to the ground. I didn't see the play. Out of respect to my tv and out of fear of throwing my remote thru the screen, I stopped watching the game just before halftime. But it baffles me how people are all sorts of pissed off and bitching about this Borland dude when it seems Suh did the same types of things (McCoy, Gabbert, etc.) yet people praised him and thought nothing of it. I guess it's ok when our guys are administering the punishment to our opponents QB but when our QB gets tackled, the other guys are "dirty" players.

Ndamukong was vicious as they come, but he never performed a full-out suplex while he was here.

This one was a complete stand him up, lift him up and then hip toss, head and neck first into the turf. SUH was angry and mean, this intentionally cheap and dirty. Lost all respect for him.

But had Suh "performed a full-out suplex", Husker fans would have cheered Suh and acted as if there was nothing wrong with the play. That's my point.

I'm not discounting the play, I'm merely pointing out had Suh done the same thing, fans would have proclaimed Suh the second coming of Christ. We loved seeing his slam Gabbert to the ground in the rain and cheered when McCoy was tossed 5yds like a rag doll in B12 CCG.

I would have an issue with it, just as I do with his antics with the Lions. Mean and nasty is great. Dirty and cheap shots are some straight up BS, IMO. No place for it in this game. Same with the guy that dove at Martinez's knees. At least he drew a flag.

I am still more amazed that none of our OL stepped into either guy. Sad. No fire.

If someone has video or a .gif of the play, I'd love to see it.

This game actually sets up nicely for Nebraska. You guys have nothing to lose. If you lose to UGA, people will say that wasn't unexpected. You lose no credibility by losing to a higher ranked opponent that is favored to win by two scores. If you win, you get instant credibility. The question is Georgia going to be up for this game after the disappointing loss in the SEC Championship game?

I didn't get to see the Wiscky-Nebraska game, but I will say this for Wisconsin and we have played them in two Bowl games in the 2000's, they always have a great running game and a great Offensive line. My guess is that there offensive line is probably better than ours. Our guys pass block pretty good, but the run blocking is good, but not great. Bama has a run blocking machine.

Balance is what we do best. If we win, it will be because of really good balance between passing and running.

Good luck Huskers and welcome south brother.

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I would certainly have a huge problem with it, as I do any time I see our players acting thuggish. Yeah, I cheered watching him get after Colt McCoy and Blaine Gabbert, because he made great, legal football moves. If he started diving at knees, body slamming, and head hunting after the whistle I would be extremely upset and disturbed by it (much like I am with his play in the league now).
