Is it me or does anyone else cringe at the casual, everyday use of the word 'swag'. It's a silly word fit for use by pop rappers and teeny boppers.

A couple of things about this make me cringe. An Oakley backpack? What? Has Oakley been "relevant" in the past 10 years? NewEra hats? Also, I don't like the thought of rewarding a lot of these teams, especailly the ones that are, like 6-6 with a bowl trip and bunch of "swag". Comes back to, "everyone gets a trophy" logic.

If you read the article, it says they are allowed up to $550 worth of stuff. That Fossil watch must be worth $130. I'd rather have the full $550 in a gift cert, but that's not a choice.
