You people couldn't admit that USC was the better team when we lost to them, now you want to downplay this win for the team. Whatever, I'm still happy and I honestly think the team gets better because of this game.

 
Got to give it up to Barmann for stepping up his game after that horrible first quarter. He made plays after that and we ??? kinda went into cruise control going through the motions. Never thought I woulld see Marlon lose the rock like that. I think both teams tried to give it to the other team. :zoom Last year I would have thought the game was over after KU tied it up. The Skers showed some gumption to put the ball in the end zone in OT. And the Blackshirts held on by their bloody nail beds. :) I'm glad the team was up for the USC game cause if they had played like tonight it would have been a slaughter. Hats off to the blue beakers for playing one hell of a game and the SKERS for not giving up and pulling out the win.

The better team doesn't always win. If they execute an extra point, or their TE catches one of two balls in the end zone, we don't even have OT.

I'm not upset about this. KU, in my opinion, is the better team. They have a better front seven, a better O-Line, and a better RB. They controlled most of this game. Thank goodness they shot themselves in the foot and we were able to hit three big plays.

I'm happy we got the win. 1-0 is better than 0-1. But I don't feel any better about this team tonight than I did yesterday. And that's the problem, because now we go on the road for three games out of four, and UT stops by as well. October could be a looooong month if we are not careful.

I'd disagree only because those were mistakes made independently of any pressure or efforts on our parts.

KU laid the wood on all of our fumbles.

But, let's take a big sigh of relief and get ready for the trip to Ames. Ain't going to get any easier...
