NU vs ISU (CFN's prediction)

Heisman Trophy Winner
This is actually a pretty fair assessment of how I see the game matching up.

Nebraska (4-1) at Iowa State (3-2) 8:00 PM EST ABC Saturday October 7th

Why to Watch: Call this an establishment game for Nebraska and an elimination game for Iowa State. The Huskers played like a possible Big 12 champion for three quarters last week against Kansas only to get bombed on late and be forced to win in overtime. After owning ISU for years, Nebraska has lost two straight in Ames and needs an impressive performance to generate a buzz again. The Cyclones are as shaky a 3-2 team as any in the country with a way-too-tight comeback 28-27 win over D-IAA Northern lowa last week, a three-overtime win over a bad Toledo team, and beating UNLV thanks to a controversial call on a last second pass in the end zone. Basically, the team is three plays away from being 0-5 , and things don't ease up with a trip to Oklahoma next week followed up by Texas Tech.

Why Nebraska Might Win Bombs away. Iowa State isn't generating any pass rush and the secondary is having major problems. It's not that the Cyclones have allowed a ton of yards, even though they have, it's that they're just not stopping anyone. Nebraska has the best passing game ISU will have faced so far by a long shot with Zac Taylor coming off a 395-yard, four-touchdown performance against Kansas.

Why Iowa State Might Win: Bombs away. The overall stats look nice because of Blutosky-like 0.0 yard passing day from Nicholls State and only 92 from Troy, but the Nebraska secondary can be lit up like a Christmas tree. If a mediocre talent like KU's Adam Barmann can fire at will for 405 yards and two touchdowns, then ISU's Bret Meyer should be able to do whatever he wants. USC's receiving corps was the best Nebraska will face all year. Iowa State's might be number two.

Who to Watch: Lost on the Nebraska win over Kansas, and all the talk about the Jayhawk passing game, was a big 145-yard rushing day on from KU's Jon Cornish. It's not secret that Iowa State's offense runs night-and-day better when RB Stevie Hicks is in the mix, but his production has dropped in each of the last four games bottoming out with a 30-yard day against Northern Iowa. Over the last three years, ISU is 7-1 when Hicks rushes for 100 yards or more and needs his balance to leave the suspect Husker corners in more one-on-one situations.

What Will Happen: Nebraska will get back on track. Iowa State isn't playing well enough to be a Husker team that'll make the proper adjustments after last week and tighten up a bit.

CFN Prediction: Nebraska 31 ... Iowa State 20 ... Line: Nebraska -7

Must See Rating: (5 skip the birth of your first born - 1 Rachael Ray) ... 3

By the way, how often do you see this

CFN Prediction: Baylor 20 ... Colorado 17 ... Line: Colorado -5

:horns GBR!!!

It's true though, Baylor is better than CU. I know I have mentioned that before.

I would say that is a fair prediction.................Also, I will love it if Baylor beats CU.........I just activated an account over at allbuffs.com so I would love to see how they all react!!!!! :clap

Wow... that hurts. Its true, but it hurts.

Nebraska will win the game by running the ball with our four horsemen sure nebraska will throw ball against a very bad isu passing D whos dead last in the NCAA but with wind gust's exsposed to be at 30mph it could change the passing game some. The Blackshirts will get their problems fixed and get back on track.

Baylor beats Cu by more than 10

Hack I love the video!!!!! :laughpound If the wind in Ames is going to affect us it will affect ISU as well which means they will have to run the ball which they don't do the best...............Our defense is fairly good against the run so that would work out just fine for us because we know how we'll run the ball..................JUST DON'T FUMBLE THAT DAMN PIGSKIN!!!!
