Can I Get Round of Applause for Cody Glenn?

Wild Bill

Five-Star Recruit
Yee-haw!!!!!!!

He's really developed well lately.

Callahoolie credited the defense after the game, but the offensive line was blocking very well in the Iowa State game and both Glenn and Jackson were patiently picking their paths.

Sure, Wild Bill. Heck, I'll even give ol' C-Train my best golf clap........tap tap tap.

I have already watched the game over again 3 times and I've watched the 4th quarter at least a few more times than that.

Absolutely loved that final 'Husker drive. Jackson was great and I almost raised the roof the first time I saw several of C-Train's final runs. Can't wait to get home from work so I can see the C-Train run over some more people in that 4th quarter.

Tip of the hat too to the offensive line and the studly performance by BJax.

Fellas, we're deep in the heart of Big 12 play. This isn't Troy anymore!

We need the backs in there that can give us the Yards After Contact. This isn't a beauty contest.

Play the backs that aren't consistently going down on the first hit (DJR knows who I am talking about)!!

Let's roll C-Train!!

Let's roll B-Train????!!! (Who knows, just went it)

We are so DEEP at RB this season. B Jax looked seasoned and explosive. Glenn looked great. Yards after contact were awesome.

C-Train had a great game and showed what he is capable of doing..... namely breaking thru tacklers. Its true that our O-Line opened holes, but then C-Train was seldom brought down by the first LB or DB that tried to bring him down. That is the sign of a great back.

I hope BC continues to play him!

2 Games ago Lucky had the same type of game though. Its great we can use these different backs to exploit the weaknesses of our opposing defenses! None of them are really weak at anything maybe besides Glenn at receiving but heres how I'd break it down.

Starter- Lucky (speed) or Glenn (power) - Whoever matches up better against that team

Backup- Jackson (balanced) or Wilson (balance/speed)- Whoever gets hot early

I like this keeps all our guys fresh and can you imagine by the time Glenn and Lucky are Seniors how much better they will be. You can tell both of them are a lot better as the season goes by being able to read holes and know when to hit it. These kids are getting better vision every week and as long as the line holds up the pressure is off Taylor.
