The Buckeyes capped their regular season last Sunday with a 68-55 win over Illinois, earning a two seed and a first-round bye in the Big Ten Tournament. Aaron Craft was a top performer with 14 points on 4-of-7 shooting, four rebounds, six assits, and three steals.
As a team, The Buckeyes are fourth in the Big Ten in scoring offense at 70.2 points per game, but have been stout on defense, ranking fourth in the conference in scoring defense (60.9) and third in field goal defense (.411). Ohio State features one of the nation's top players in Deshaun Thomas, as the first-team preseason All-American leads the Big Ten in scoring at 19.7 ppg. Lenzelle Smith Jr. joins Thomas in double figures, as he averages 10.1 ppg. The Buckeyes also have two of the nation's top point guards in junior Aaron Craft (9.7 ppg, 4.5 apg, 2.0 spg) and Shannon Scott (5.0 ppg, 3.8 apg, 1.8 spg), as both guards rank among the top five in the Big Ten in steals.
