How are you doing on your brackets?

I'm going with d!(k Vitale's hot tip on espn last night: Cal over New Mexico.

/ He said that on their bracket special. LOL

I don't buy into New Mexico at all, but Cal? No.

Speaking of horrible picks, I need to see Gottlieb's bracket this year again. It was downright hilarious last year. In the ESPN contest he was in like the 5th percentile after the first couple rounds, and he does this for a living. Picked nothing but upsets, and didn't pick any of the right ones.

EDIT: I just found out CBSsports hired Gottlieb as their head analyst for everything college basketball. Maybe I won't turn the audio on if I ever stumble on that.

Self explanitory. Just update and be honest.

Quite fine, thank you for asking.

Here's Nate Silver's in-depth statistical analysis on tournament probabilities. It would probably be smart to base my bracket off of his insights but I think I'll trust my gut instinct.

Ha ha! That was a joke. Since Cal plays UNLV not NM. Vitale didn't know what to say when he made that upset prediction and the other guy pointed out that Cal doesn't play NM. lol

/ That said, d!(k Vitale has probably forgotten more about college basketball than I'll ever know. By 10X.

 Whoops! Maybe Cal is so powerful that they are just going to beat the whole Mountain West in one fell swoop! Yeah, he is not much of an analyst. At least not anymore, I have no idea how he was 30 years ago.

I actually agree with Cal over UNLV. Listen to RJ bell a lot as well as Steve Fezzik. Vegas handicappers who don't have a lot of respect for the Rebels SU or ATS

I'm going to copy the ESPN analysts and Obama and not pick a single upset. Louisville over Indiana baby!

The real national championship is going to be the regional final of the East.

Indiana vs Miami (FL)

That's good enough for me.

Also, is anyone on here creating a HB group on ESPN? If not, I can do it. I just wanna put mine up against all of yours.

Both these teams worry me in the earlier rounds. I've watched both teams play several times. If the opposing team doesn't grab their attention by being a marquee name, both teams are very capable of playing uninspired basketball. Do I see either gettin upset? Not necessarily. Do I see either team being taken the distance in an early round game? Absolutely. If I were to take the leap and pick one to be upset early, it would actually be Indiana being upset by NC State in the round of 32. Very good athletic team but an inconsistent team. Watched them a few times early in the year and thought they were good enough to make a deep run. IMO, they underachieved this year.
