2 guys, Ameer is the first...I see his career playing out very much like the second.I don't believe that you suddenly develop an elite level talent over the course of your final 2 years in college. That's the only reason I pay as much attention to recruiting as I do, as well as being fortunate enough to have some insight into what the coaches see in some potential recruits. High school shows who has elite attributes - speed, vision, quickness, strength, etc.
42 attempts for 150 yards - 3.6 YPC
226 attempts for 1,137 yards - 5.0 YPC
45 attempts for 209 yards - 4.6 YPC
125 attempts for 803 yards - 6.4 YPC
220 attempts for 1,147 yards - 5.2 YPC
188 attempts for 1,245 yards - 6.6 YPC
I think Roy Helu developed into one hell of a ball carrier his last couple of years. The Redskins thought he was elite enough, and he proved it his rookie year. Ameer certainly seems on pace to exceed his career. I'll take it, every year for the next 40.
