Phil Steele says Nebraska will be #17 heading into the season

the fact that you are forced to post the definition of contender says pretty much everything that's needed to be said about that game. no need to make it into something it wasn't. it was an epic embarrassment...9 out of 10 of the players, and Bo himself would say as much. Don't know why fans feel they need to argue that is wasn't in an effort to defend the team.

it is what it is. Bo and everyone else can move on from it when it's erased next December. Until then...it will be front and center of nearly every convo. Such is life when blowouts are regular occurances.

I don't know how you could even get drunk during that game. Every beer I finished was followed by a sobering display of football in front of me. It was like I had to start over after every drink. Same feeling when you leave the bar after a 5 beers and see blue lights. You're more alert and sober than ever.

It was probably top ten for me as well. At least when you pass out you don't lay in bed and stare at the ceiling and think about the game . . .

Carlfence needs to be banned for posting that video.
What I noticed was that Daimion Stafford wasn't the whole problem . . . I don't know that I've ever seen a DL and LB corps be tossed around like that.
I only watched the first play from the video. I think it was P.J. Smith who missed the tackle, and it's easy to blame that one guy for that play, sure. But what about the 9 guys who bit on the fake and left Smith out there all by himself? These are mostly upperclassmen too, after 5 years of tutelage in the system. I don't think that's a recruiting issue.

I think that it's a common mistake to blame a safety who missed a tackle while on an island. Just because he is the only player in the area with a chance to make a play doesn't mean that he is supposed to be the only player in the area with a chance to make a play.

I'm just recalling a recent post (that I probably can't find) focusing on the terrible safety play. I'm here to say that playing that sort of defense (if you can call it that) requires an entire team.

bo only put 10 defenders on the field? that explains a lot.

I ended up passing out on the floor in our living room, woke up covered in puke and wondering why my pants were off.

Im pretty much lawn chairing it at this point in the thread.

Lmao @ the dude so caught up with with me being a realist or not. High fives to the other realists in this thread. We will see who is right and who is wrong. I hope you guys are right about this really good defensive line that you're pulling from the sky. I really do.
