I agree with you. Prior to Crick's injury, he hadn't been a significant factor, and the d-line we put on the field in 2011 was nearly the same as the one in 2010. That said, he was still a good defensive tackle, further evidenced by him being a regular contributor for the Texans. I know you're not disputing this, of course.

I have said it before and I'll say it again Crick was never 100% in 2011 from game 1. I think he had a torn muscle prior to Ohio State.

I guess he and Daimion Stafford told Bo all the time how much they hated how the safeties were asked to play within the defense...

I fully agree. I think he was hurt very early in the season or even in fall practice and finally torn it completely in the OSU game to the point he could no longer play.

I'd also like to know what guys were the prima donnas. That's pretty unacceptable stuff.

I agree that talent is the biggest culprit in the D struggling. This draft reflected the mediocrity of those first two classes. The first three classes are chock full of defensive front misses. Now we seem to be getting the talent back up now with these last two classes but we'll have to watch a year of struggles because we field a crew of newbs. At least this D should improve over the course of the season, unlike last year's senior-heavy-but-slow squad.
