The New York (time to hit the driving) Rangers have fired John Tortorella :(
I'm not too broken up about it. I did kind of like the guy though.
I was a bit surprised they waited this long to do this. With his comments at times, you'd have to wonder if he'd lost the locker room...

But now, who do you get to replace him?

My money's on former Sabre's coach, LIndy Ruff. He took them to the cup finals where they lost against the Stars.... http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Lindy_Ruff
Rangers might looking at bringing Messier in to coach. Not sure if that is a good idea.

As much as I love Messier, I'm not sure how effective of a coach he'd be...

I do think he would make a good assistant coach. I think he needs to sit as an assistant for couple of years before he is ready as an HC.

Pittsburgh in 6 and Chicago in 6.
They'd better hope Vokoun keeps playing well because thats the Pen's problem... goaltending
It's like I told a friend of mine; all we need is for Vokoun to hold off 1 more shot than the other guy. Not the best way to approach a series, but that's how we're living.
Whats saving Vokoun is Crosby, Malkin, and Neal...
Well duh. Our best defense is our offense. Kind of a Mike Leach philosophy lol

I'm just saying that, as good as our offense is, Vokoun doesn't need to pitch a shutout every night.

The one thing that Boston has on the Pens is physicality. Outside of Letang, Pittsburgh doesn't have any real guys to bang with most of the Bruins which that team is predicated on...

Pens are getting f'ing HOSED on the penalties. Marchand only gets 2 minutes for the same play Cooke got 5 for.
