Black Out

Yeah it would be sweet to see it during the game somewhere, but it would be in someones way. They could have it on the outside of the stadium though?!

 
Or at least roll it back out for halftime. It was made to cover the hole left by the band when they are on the field playing, so why not roll it out at halftime?

Anyone know what they do with that thing after they "fold" it up?

 
That would be cool to see it out there before halftime. I have always noticed that the first couple of minutes of the second half, fans are still in the halftime lull. They have to get in their seats, and it always seems like it starts out slow. I would love to see the Power of Red banner back out there to get everyone back in the game and ready to continue to be loud. Just a thought.

 
I agree- the banner is awesome. Why not get the crowd jacked for the second half?? Whatever it takes to get the crowd the most loud it has been in quite awhile.

 
I think that they should play a highlight video at the end of halftime to get the crowd back in the game. Not just video highlights from the first half, but of the entire season or alltime.

 
Good idea, but the way the last few years' Tunnel Walk has been.. Well, I guess part of it is ok, but it should get the crowd rocking (and not listening to what is being said). Either way, I think you have a great idea to get the crowd into it for the second half.

Is just a section of students wearing nothing but black suppose to intimidate the other team or make our team play that much harder. I have never heard a player make a comment on how he played so much harder or he was so intimidated during a game because of what a small section was wearing during a game. If we are going to do a "B******" then lets do it right and have the whole stadium involved, but since that will never happen. Lets just stick to what works and wear all red.

well, i've never heard them say they played harder because everyone wore red (at least at home), so maybe we should just toss that idea..? last year it was meant to show support for the Blackshirts

Outsiders complain that, all though NU fans in general are great, the student section is lacking compared to other Big XII schools- the DPost Big XII tour a couple years ago is one example. so what's wrong with them doing something that makes that section stand out a little? besides, it really doesn't matter as long as they're LOUD!

and though an all RED stadium looks awesome, we get that every home game, a Blackhole (for one game/yr) looked pretty cool last year.

How's this for black?

im not sure if anyone has said this but what about waving around those blackshirt towels for those who want to wear red than can at least have a blackshirt towel
