New field turf for 2013

Isn't is supposed to conjure up images of the differing mowing directions of grass?

Yes. Supposedly that's the way it looked when they had real grass in Memorial.

It's not like any field with artificial turf is fooling anyone anyway. Might as well embrace it.

Not a big fan of the alternating greens. The light green seems far too light to me.

Why do you feel that way?

Pros outweigh any cons:

• Maintenance-free
  
• Reduces injury
  
• More consistent playing surface, especially in inclement weather

You can really tell the difference if you compare the stadium turf to the turf on the practice field. The shades of Red are way more vibrant on the practice field.

I think this is what has been holding us back all of these years. That last turf was put in under Peterson and we have been cursed ever since. This new turf will usher in a new era of Husker dominance. Either that or it will just be some new turf.
