A lil article provided by Huskers.com. I thought this was pretty cool. Here's another thread talking up the FACTS and how deadly NEB's offense will and can be this coming year. Check it:
"2) BIG TEN BEST: In Nebraska’s first two years in the Big Ten, the Huskers own the best overall conference record (12-4) and the best division record (8-2)."
"4) OFFENSIVE FIREPOWER: Nebraska's 6,451 yards of total offense in 2012 ranked second best in school history. The Huskers return 84 percent of that offense in 2013, including 99.6 percent of the passing yards and 71.1 percent of the rushing yards."
"5) SURPRISING HUSKER FIRST: For the first time in school history,Nebraska boasts a pair of returning 1,000-yard rushers from the previous season. Martinez returns for his 2013 senior season after rushing for 1,019 yards in 2012, and Abdullahreturns for his junior season after rushing for 1,137 yards as a sophomore."
"7) EXPLOSIVE OFFENSE: Nebraska set a school record with 330 first downs last season with contributions coming courtesy of big plays from returning players. NU had 111 plays cover at least 20 yards in 2012, and returning Huskers were involved in 96 of those big gains. Martinez accounted for 56 plays of 20 or more yards in 2012, and he owns 129 gains of at least 20 yards in his career. Martinez produced three runs of 70 yards or longer in 2012 and has five such runs in his career. Bell had 25 gains of 20 or more yards in 2012, and each of his eight touchdown catches covered at least 25 yards."
