I have concerns about this one. Call me a traditionalist, but his size really concerns me. Few reasons and I guess I shouldn't be. But I really feel Jamal Turner is going to BLOW UP this year. I'll say this with full confidence that if he has the year that I think he will, we may never see a slot WR better at NU. My thing is that then Jamal has a decision to make whether he stays or leaves for the NFL. Neither of our slot commits are ready to play BIG football their freshman year.
Yes and no. I think it's really only a concern if he was going to be an every-down RB. As a change-of-pace back or in the slot, I don't think it matters near as much as speed and shiftiness.
Tavon Austin was the #8 pick in the NFL draft at 5-9, 174. Danny Woodhead was 5-8, 180 lbs coming out of high school. Both those guys were a little bigger but not terribly so, especially if he puts on another 5-10 lbs in the next year.
