The Iowegians are running scared from Black Friday once again

Technically, I'd rather play Iowa, but if they're going to continue to be little b*tches about playing that game, then they don't deserve it.

I would love a Nebraska-Wisconsin Black Friday match up. With the way the new divisions are going to line up, Nebraska-Wisconsin on Friday could settle the West Division and Michigan-Ohio State on Saturday could settle the East Division. What better way to demand attention of the national audience than that?

I'm shocked at the support here on Huskerboard for changing the black Friday game to Wisconsin (17 votes to 4 votes?). I'm all for sticking with Iowa. It's a border war, and part of a great year-end rivalry is the proximity of the hate. I'd be disappointed if they switched that game to Wisconsin. Something about Iowa feels right at the end of the season....

I like having an easy game to not have to get worked up about with family over!

I would love to see Nebraska vs. Wisky for the last game of the year, nationally televised every year. I think more often than not that would be a game of huge significance as well. Maybe we could play for a giant all red sledge hammer. That would be a fitting trophy.

Not sure "anyone" would fit the bill. But playing Iowa on Saturday to end the season is lack luster at best. I think people like the thought of the two top dogs playing for it all at the end. {See History ~ Mich v OSU}. A majority of the time these two were playing for more than pride. Much like Nebraska vs. OU in the days gone by.

I like the Iowa game for Black Friday for one simple reason.

Coming into it, we have a very clear idea of what the bowl season will mean. Iowa is pretty much a guaranteed win. Put Wisconsin in there, and we could have the CCG hinge on the game. Sure it's exciting, but I like a final "walk through the park" before heading to Indy.

On a competitive level, Wisconsin would be my choice. But for easy game at the end of the year, Iowa is my pick.

I don't really know any Hawkeye fans, so I don't really "get" the "rivalry". That seems to be what people enjoy about that game. They have friends and family that are Squakeyes so they enjoy the banter.

To me it's just beating up Iowa State's bigger, dumber brother. meh
