I probably could have thrown for 400 yards against that defense.Taylor's TRUE arm shows in the Okie Lite game in 2010.

I was merely stating arm strength. He showed the best arm strength of this career that game. I could give two sh#ts less how many yards he got. He showed he has the capability of throwing more than 5-20 yard passes that game. His arm strength wasn't the best of QB's, but its more than suh_fan states.I probably could have thrown for 400 yards against that defense.Taylor's TRUE arm shows in the Okie Lite game in 2010.
I literally just about spit my water all over the computer LOL. Dude, that is probably the funniest thing I have heard you say on here lol.I have elite arm strength. But that's probably because I have a Brazzers membership.
First, our backup QB's threw 4 less passes than Bama's, so lets just go ahead and stop with that fallacy. Second, please name the guys on the roster who could come in a do a better job this season. Hell, go ahead and use the guys who left too. I'm just dying to hear this well thought out, and non-biased diatribe.Wow. This was a whopper. I'm betting we could easily find someone to run our offense lol. Guys on our team now even. Since no quarterback knows what it's like to get any playing time besides Martinez it's not like we would find out anyway.I'll clarify. It's acknowledged by anyone with common sense that at times, our offense can be its own worst enemy. A good portion of that has to do with Taylor. But you'd be hard pressed to find a QB who can run this offense and make it as big of a threat as it is now.
That or you came from a naturally strong family.I have elite arm strength. But that's probably because I have a Brazzers membership.
:dunnoThe quarterback is such low-hanging fruit and it amazes me that we have, yet again, a thread discussing the pros and cons of quarterbacks at Nebraska.
Ganz and Martinez have both suffered from the same problem - Cosgrovian defenses. The games we lost under Martinez have been mostly blowouts because the defense couldn't stop the opponent, not because of Martinez. But here we are, plodding over the same slow-lane territory as always.
To recap, for those with poor memories:
2010 - Martinez is a Freshman. We lose four games (the Pelini standard) by an average of six points. Taylor took us to the conference championship game and gave us a 17-0 lead despite a gimpy ankle that plagued him that season and the next. The defense gave up five scores after the 17-0 lead in the Conference Championship. That's not on Taylor.
What part of that 17-0 lead are you confused about.:dunnoThe quarterback is such low-hanging fruit and it amazes me that we have, yet again, a thread discussing the pros and cons of quarterbacks at Nebraska.

A Helu TD run, a Burkhead-to-Reed TD pass, and a Henery FG = Martinez giving us a 17-0 lead?
The only noteworthy thing I can remember Martinez doing that entire game was throwing the momentum-changing INT in the endzone. But then again, I have a poor memory.
There wasn't a QB in the game for Henery's 53 yard field goal, and Burkhead was in the game at QB for his TD pass (set up by Osborne's INT return). Martinez was the QB for Helu's long run, but not sure how much more Martinez had to do with that run than Helu and his blockers. The part where Martinez gave it to us.What part of that 17-0 lead are you confused about.:dunnoThe quarterback is such low-hanging fruit and it amazes me that we have, yet again, a thread discussing the pros and cons of quarterbacks at Nebraska.

Who was the quarterback for those plays? Did we sub someone else in when I wasn't looking?
knapp, come on, you should have this figured out by now. When things go good, credit goes to everyone except Taylor. When things go wrong, Taylor gets the blame whether it was his fault or not. Forget that we had a Big 12 championship well in hand and our defense gave up a 3-score lead. It's all Taylor's fault. The part where Martinez gave it to us.What part of that 17-0 lead are you confused about.:dunnoThe quarterback is such low-hanging fruit and it amazes me that we have, yet again, a thread discussing the pros and cons of quarterbacks at Nebraska.

Saying Martinez gave us a 17-0 lead is a pretty blatant denial of reality.
