Where did I say the defense wasn't at fault also? Your reading comprehension seems to need a little help. I even went out of my way to say he was probably still the right guy to play. I just don't think he has that "it" factor to play consistently great against a great team for us to have a legitimate shot. He is prone to forcing things (which is where the interceptions and fumbles usually come from) and trying to do too much. He has said so himself and so has the staff that he can try to be a one man army. This is also when he loses his fundamentals. The defense has it's own problems of course... But youre in denial if you can't recognize T Mgics faults as a player. I love Taylor as a person and player. Just don't think he will win anything significant with his decision making when he is flustered. Beck and Ganz have worked with him on throwing the ball away or just taking a sack and protecting the ball for instance. But his nerves can get in the way. So cool it.You could splice a QB from Tommy Frazier, Scott Frost, and Turner Gill's genes, and we still wouldn't "win anything of significance" when the defense gives up 10.1 Yards Per Rush in a f****ing conference championship game.I have been on record saying we won't win anything of significance with Taylor at the helm.

better than Bridgewater and Mariota?? Wow...Schools Taylor would probably not start at:
Bama
Georgia
Clemson
Ohio State
Oregon
Texas A&M
Stanford
Louisville
I'm probably missing a couple, but I think at pretty much every other school, he would be the starter. Some notable ones:
South Carolina - Shaw has been a gritty, tough QB for them, but his skill set is limited. Taylor would take that team to another level.
LSU - They haven't had a quality QB since Flynn.
Florida - Taylor probably makes them a serious title contender, as well as the previous 2.
All of the Big 12 schools - this includes Oklahoma (Bell is not a proven passer) and Texas (who hasn't found a good answer at QB since McCoy left)
I honestly think he could beat out Boyd, Bridgewater, or Mariota potentially, but in the end, I think those guys are perfect fits for their respective teams.
Watson has done a good job with Bridgewater.better than Bridgewater and Mariota?? Wow...Schools Taylor would probably not start at:

Mariota is the epitome of being a product of a system. If Taylor were at Oregon, they'd have won at least one championship these past 3 years.better than Bridgewater and Mariota?? Wow...Schools Taylor would probably not start at:

When people say "we'll never win anything with Taylor at QB" (Not just here) they are in fact, doing just that.Firstly, no one is arguing it's all Taylor's fault. So please, stop attacking that straw man, there's nothing left of the poor guy.
My reading comprehension is just fine. You just made a poor argument. Taylor is a flawed QB for sure, but it shouldn't take Superman at the quarterback position to cover up the major flaws in the team, just to win a conference championship game.Where did I say the defense wasn't at fault also? Sorry. "I" wasn't arguing that point. I forgot figures of speech are strictly forbidden. When people say "we'll never win anything with Taylor at QB" (Not just here) they are in fact, doing just that.Firstly, no one is arguing it's all Taylor's fault. I like Crouch. I think he is one of the best QB's if not the best QB NU has ever had.People didn't like him neither, so....fumbles - don't be picky - everyone, including the die-hard Taylor fans (and Taylor himself) knows that he turns the ball over too much.Taylor Martinez has never led the nation in turnovers.
I'm not being picky, I'm being committed to what's actually true. He's led the nation in fumbles - not in turnovers, and not in fumbles lost.
Fun fact - Taylor's fumbles per carry ratio is better than Eric Crouch's.
Isn't Oregon one of the teams he listed where Martinez wouldn't start?better than Bridgewater and Mariota?? Wow...Schools Taylor would probably not start at:

Wow, some people really are determined to hate. Why do you think Martinez got the nod in 2010 over Lee and Green? Because Watson was transitioning to a zone read offense and because Martinez could run the zone read like a champ. All the national media raves about his ability to sell a great fake and make a great read but even our own fans choose to ignore it. If anyone else could run our offense so well how come when Martinez got hurt in 2010 Lee or Green didn't step in and things kept clicking?Wow. This was a whopper. I'm betting we could easily find someone to run our offense lol. Guys on our team now even. Since no quarterback knows what it's like to get any playing time besides Martinez it's not like we would find out anyway.I'll clarify. It's acknowledged by anyone with common sense that at times, our offense can be its own worst enemy. A good portion of that has to do with Taylor. But you'd be hard pressed to find a QB who can run this offense and make it as big of a threat as it is now.
