That's not what he's saying. To be honest, I agree with him. Georgia was five yards away from beating Alabama and possibly getting into the national championship game. Instead they get to play a team that just got blasted in their own CCG. Kinda hard to get excited for that meaningless bowl game.

Kinda like Nebraska's rerun against Washington in the Holiday Bowl. We were the better team. They won. We didn't really care.

I changed the channel for about 2 sminute near the end of the 3rd and Ga had about 18 more points. I'll assume espnc cut out some drives.

And everyone knows when the SEC disappoints it's because they weren't up for the game.

This is why it's pretty hard to say one conference is better than another based on bowl games. Not only are the games not necessarily pairing "equal" teams (one team might have been second in their conference while the other was fourth) but it's tough to know who's really ready to play and who is still at DisneyLand.

I don't doubt that they might not have been as excited as possible, but I also think it's a minor issue at best. I think they actually played up to Alabama more than they played down to us. If you look at their regular season, they got trounced by South Carolina, and had one score wins against Florida, Tennessee and Kentucky.

They were good, top 10 good, but not national champions good.
