Boom. Saw that coming, but not so soon. Hopefully speaks to the staff's confidence in the other guys we have at safety. I know I just said Gerry could be something special at safety in another thread, but I think he could be an even better OLB. He has first round ability at that position imo.
I'm going to assume that's a Peso-type position, as they were also trying out Zaire Anderson in that spot.

I would think so. Gonna be a hybrid of nickel and base. Also just showing how this staff is growing in trying to find ways to get the speed on the field. I just have this feeling that the messin around is over with.

Sounds like SJB and Josh Mitchell are the top 2 CBs when Ciante is at Nickel. The next name out of Bo's mouth was Jonathon Rose, then Daniel Davie and Mo Seisay. Seisay kind of seemed like an afterthought for him. Not sure how far to read into that.
Sounds like the depth is there at Safety, so he wants to try Gerry at OLB or dime position to try to get him on the field.
Bo also had a lot of praise for Josh Banderas. Said he has been playing Mike LB and has potential to be a really good player before he's done. I'd mark him down as an instant contributor.
I feel better about the defense every day. I hope they don't let us down.

First, I wouldn't read much into the CB situation. The other day Mitchell wasn't mentioned so I think it's just them naming off so many guys they are bound to forget/struggle to remember one.
Glad we are hearing good things about Bando. Starting to look like Santos, ZA, Afalava, Rose and Bando (and now Gerry) are in the running for spots now.

I wonder where freshman Courtney Love falls into the mix at LB. The kid has some size to definitely play the positon...more so than Bando IMO. See how things shake out.
