Even the BTN guys know Knapp is a big deal

Still not great - but better. Still will have to win with D RT @knapplc You've watched Sparty - will they be able to score this year?
This is the kind of thing that makes me wonder about their analyses of teams. On paper Sparty looks like an even more anemic offense than last year, but Revsine is making the case that they could be better? Or better than Spring? Not sure what exactly he's saying, but it's not negative, that's for certain.

But Sparty is losing Le'Veon Bell with no proven backup, losing their OG McDonald and losing TE Dion Sims. They return four starters on O-Line and Maxwell, and their WR corps, but they're just not built to be a gunslinging offense - certainly not with Maxwell at the helm.

Love the BTN, but take a lot of what they say with a grain of salt. They're the PR arm of the Big Ten conference, salaries paid by Delaney, and they're not about to bad-mouth their marquee teams. So you've got to temper what you're hearing about Nebraska with that in mind.

As Dirk said a bit ago:

@dirkchatelain

According to the BTN crew, Nebraska will go 28-0 this fall, beating opponents by an average of 437-4.

Well put. :D

If the last 2 years are any indication; you have to take what those BTN guys say with a grain of salt.

No thanks, Kool aid and salt don't mix.

I tend to trust Dinardo's opinion the most. I've watched everything he said about all the other teams and he was critical of teams weaknesses and wasn't afraid to say something. But of course they heaped praise on strengths as they should.

Just nice they see dline as a perceived strength.

In all fairness, according to Dirk, we will never win another game though either.

I feel that the BTN guys do a fairly decent job and they definitely lean more towards the positive end. The only thing they really said that we haven't was the stuff regarding our DL.

Heisman prediction? OK. SEC (Manziel, Murray, McCarron) eats itself alive. B1G heats up with Ameer and B. Miller. Martinez is last standing.

Not saying I think Taylor necessarily wins...I'm saying Braxton Miller won't live up to ridiculous hype. Abdullah rises and tapers down.

At season's end, Martinez will be the conference's top contender. If #Huskers go 11-1 or better AND win the conference he's in New York
