I care. I religiously read Sagarin's ratings and then compare Coaches polls. The great CFB debate I say. However I agree "who gives a sh#t" about Harris, AP polls and computer based ratings except Sagarin.

I think we will drop a few spots. UCLA, N.Western, Wisky, and Usc all won their games. All are currently ranked below us.

We will stay the same, or even move up slightly. No one outside the fans was watching, really.

There were far too many upsets, ala K-State and so on, for us to attract much attention. What I see as a real concern is blowing out our next two opponents while other top teams are either upset or defeat each other.

We could end up nearing the top 10 as we go into the UCLA game. That scares the bejeesus outta me, because we won't deserve the ranking, in all likelihood, but if we take a beatdown from UCLA, our fairly successful coach will be in the fire instead of on a slightly warm seat.

I do NOT want to turn into A&M, rolling the coaching dice every few years and hoping it works out, somehow.

me either. But sometimes ones forced to move on. The Pelini years are winding down. We have to see how this plays out, but right now all indications are that Bo is wildly under-performing. No one wants a revolving door... but does anyone really want a whole lot more of this?

"Wildly under-performing"? I get the whole not liking giving up a gazillion yards thing, but to indicate Bo is "wildly under-performing" at 9+ wins per season and no missed bowls is a bit off.

Who cares where we're ranked right now? Polls only mean something late in the year if we're in the hunt for a BCS bid. I'd rather win the B1G and not be ranked than come in second and be in the top ten.

If we play well, the polls will take care of themselves.

Pitt is leading FSU right now, there is a lot of game left but one can only hope they complete the upset.

I don't really see a ton of sexy matchups on the college football calendars over the next few weeks, so any major movement in the polls are going to have to come as a result of big upsets for the most part, imo. NU just has to avoid being on the wrong end of one of those upsets, and now with UCLA and NW ranked ahead of us, there will be plenty of opportunities to move back up again if we can get our $h!t together.
