Bingo! Well said! This is not the first time all of the Nation has witnessed the crude and undisciplined demeanor of Bo Pelini. And, he will do it again. It is his nature. This is a disgrace to the University, the football program and its fan base. Bo needs fired and fired now. No questions. Bob, Tom and many others have worked too dam hard to put the university, football program in the place it is. If the current administration looks the other way in this matter it will have ruined everything the fore mentioned have done to put Nebraska where it is.
Absolutely not. Our fanbase is already being mocked nationally for being "outraged" about this. To fire Bo right now would make us look like petty children. This is a disgrace to the University, the football program and its fan base. Bo needs fired and fired now. No questions. Pelini admitted he was wrong and apologized. That's something most younger adults don't see much of these days. Mostly it's "I didn't do anything worse than so and so" or "Anyone in my shoes would have done the same." (Seen a lot of THAT as of late) There is also Pelini as an example of what NOT to do, and a close up view of this whole mess is a lesson from which the team can learn.“It's important to realize, more than ever, that kids are looking for role models,” Osborne said.
No, to this point, someone prepared a statement that was attributed to Pelini.Pelini admitted he was wrong and apologized. That's something most younger adults don't see much of these days. I admit I had fun lampooning the whole incident in the "Would the Mods ban Pelini?" thread, but an apology is good enough for me. Seriously. Next time it might be me.
Best Pelini's attention not be divided between this and the team. Criticisms about an overly complicated defense are still valid debating material, though.
I am ok with forgiving the man; but how many won't? I am just saying the thing that makes this messy to me is his character as a man.Pelini admitted he was wrong and apologized. Best thing Bo could do would be to sit down in front of a camera and speak openly and honestly to the fans. Apologize off the cuff, show sincerity, and tell them he's going to work hard to show that statement was then, and he's changed now.No, to this point, someone prepared a statement that was attributed to Pelini.
Yep, I posted earlier in this thread that he should have been in front of a camera and earnestly said how much he is sorry and hopes he can be forgiven by the fans. The problem is, I'm not sure he really is sorry.Best thing Bo could do would be to sit down in front of a camera and speak openly and honestly to the fans. Apologize off the cuff, show sincerity, and tell them he's going to work hard to show that statement was then, and he's changed now.No, to this point, someone prepared a statement that was attributed to Pelini.
And then back that up with clear evidence of change over the next several months.
