Our Division - who has the inside track now

Here is a pretty good article:

Michigan has a pretty tough schedule, so chances that they lose two more conference games while we lose two total are decent.

Michigan St and Penn St are the type of offense we usually handle pretty well. I don't disagree with anyone that says we could run the table, but we could also go 2-4.

Let's assume we win the division. Is the Ohio St matchup one we want? At first blush it appears no, but I'd say we have little to lose. With the right mindset, we can come in a lot more eager to play that game than OSU. Regardless off whether we have 9, 10, or 11 wins OSU could very well be unbeaten. Matter of fact we want to play an unbeaten OSU in this game. There is so much football to be played, an 11-1 NU team beating a 12-0 OSU team could possible put us in the BCS title game.

Highly unlikely we'd end up in the BCS title game, we know a 1 loss SEC team would get in there before we would. I would love for us to be 11-1 and playing a 12-0 OSU team, I hope we do, but I don't think we'd go much farther than the Rose Bowl if we did beat them. Not a bad game to be in, but I hope it's against UCLA................I want payback for that crap that happened in September.

I agree a one-loss SEC team would trump us, but they're running out of possibity of that happening. Mizzou is only potential one-loss team in the East and only one team out of LSU/A&M, presuming Bama runs the table.

I'm not arguing we will make it, just that it's unlikely we get another SEC circle jerk to get two of ESPN's team in the MNC.

I don't know why anyone fears tOSU. They just don't look dominant to me. They find ways to win, though, and that's great. But no one is going to bat 1.000 in clutch time. Eventually, mistakes bite you in the a$$.

As far as I'm concerned, we need all but one of Clemson/FSU/Oregon/UCLA/BAMA/TAMU/LSU /Louisville to lose... and I'm sure there are more. We won't see the natty, period.

Probably has a lot to do with the last time we played them when they dropped 63 points on us.

Plus the fact that they haven't lost since 2011.

Plus the fact that when we're talking about mistakes, more often than not it's the Huskers' mistakes that do the biting.

Hate to be a Negative Nellie but "no way" do we have a chance at being in the BCS NCG as there are too many heavy players in front of us. We are carrying the baggage we packed the last few years so it will take a while to unpack!

but maybe this is the year we put it together and get that big road win on the road against an upper echelon conference team
Nothing beats a road win on the road.

Taylor does like playing against road games......

Mizzou is currently 6-0 but without their QB could finish 6-6

Bama needs to lose to LSUthen LSU needs to drop a silly game.

S.Car and Florida need.to lose again

GEorgia wins east and trumps a&m or Bama

Suddenly a one loss SEC team is on par with the rest of us. Not gonna shake out that way. But what if it did!!!!!!!!

If we were to win out by record only, but the perception is, well you know what it is and sometimes perception is reality!

Yeah the odds of us making a BCS Title game are about as good as my chances with Mila Kunis. But hell Id be happy with a Rose Bowl.

If Nebraska ran the table and certain other teams lost, the Huskers could very well land in the BCS title game. I know the common line on here is that our program gets no respect, but people in general would be quick to buy into the... Uh Oh, here comes the Huskers, they're back.... line of thinking. We've been rated pretty high and pretty quick before. Only problem is... it ain't going to happen. The Leaders Division is a demolition derby with the winner getting a ticket to be punched out by the Bucks. Yes, Ohio State has weaknesses. No doubt. But we can't exploit them. They have a running QB that can move around and make some plays. To make matters worse, their back up is a running QB who can do likewise. Nebraska might hang with them for parts of a game, but as soon as a big play happens..... we would fold up like a cheap lawn chair. Count on it. We are our own worst enemy and, at that point, would be more than happy to start beating ourselves 10 ways to Sunday.
