OMAHA, Neb. -- Patrick Deuel has reached a milestone in his battle of the bulge. He's going to a Nebraska football game.
The Nebraska man once weighed 1,072 pounds. He said he's down to 370 pounds and feeling great.
Deuel will attend Saturday's Missouri-Nebraska game in Lincoln, courtesy of athletic director Steve Pederson and head coach Bill Callahan.
His wife and parents will join him.
It was his childhood dream to see a Cornhusker game, and he set it as a goal when he was recovering from his 2004 gastric bypass surgery in a Sioux Falls, S.D., hospital.
Deuel predicts a 31-14 Nebraska victory.
