when i think of the game tomorrow my stomach get knotted up.....anyone else that nervous....i know it is only a game but this to me is a huge stepping stone....this season was to be the first of many big 12 north titles with the next step being the big12 itself.....i hope my nervousness is futile and i will laugh about how easy this game was but i just dont see it right now....

I've just gone back and forth on the this game. I think that they torched us last year, but then the year before we beat them (with Dailey), but I can't get past the fact at all the rushing yards they have let up. 240 or something to Kansas St!!!!! over 200 to a Adrian Peterson-less Oklahoma team.

That speaks volumes...plus were at home, were favored in this game and rightfully so. :restore

I guess there is good reason to be nervous after last week. If it is any consolation, right before the game last week, I didn't have a great feeling. I knew OSU was fast and had talent, but I figured NU's experience and ground game would keep it in check. For this game, I feel a lot better about it. If that is any sort of barometer. I think that we win this game handily and erase some of the doubts that have surfaced recently. Just my opinion, could definitely be wrong, but I think the skers will play much better and a complete game.

Their only two losses came from teams that ran the ball a lot and controlled the clock.

From the LJS:

In its two losses, Missouri has been outrushed by an average of 205.5 yards to 75 and has allowed 38:56 of possession time. In its seven wins, the average rushing total favored the Tigers 177.9-99.7, while the time of possession was much more manageable at 30:10 for the opponents.

I'm seeing a pattern there that I hope we follow

I wouldn't worry too much about tomorrow's game. The game is at home, and we've played extremely well at home this year except for the Kansas game. We shouldn't have any trouble with Mizzou. If you want to get worried about a game, worry about the A&M game next week. Gary Pinkel does the least with the most in terms of coaches in the North. I don't expect much from Mizzou in Lincoln.

I think the game rests on our O line.

If they can open holes and allow runners to go, that will ease up pass protection, and things will go smooth. Our offence affects our defense -- it is the offense's responsibility to stay on the field and give the D a sense that they don't have to do everything.

Let's Go OLINE :power

im extremely worried...

i dont care how many fauts a team has, they always seem to do good against us....
I am bit nervous as well. It bothers me that we have not dominated anyone in the Big XII. What does ease my nerves a bit is the amount of rush yards Mizzou gives up combined with BJax setting himself apart as a fantastic back.

I try not to get nervous for games, but it's too hard. I so much want for the skers to stomp the tiger poop out of Mizzou. Restore the order in the North blackshirts. :bonez

yeah im nervous cuase of the way that the team played last week against osu. if we do come out and play like we did in the first quarter of that game and keep at it we should win the game but if not and go away from something that was working we will lose. So the huskers need come out and play like if they were pissed off at the world and grab the tigers by their tailes and not let go

I am pumped lets see these husker play like we know they can play........I think Nebraska has the bigger chip on the shoulder and should come out gangbusters.........lets all hope........if they can't get up for this game then something is definitely wrong............. :bonez :box :box :box :bonez I know the stadium will be rockin!

very true, this is a bigger game for Nebraska than it is for Missouri, i think

i mean, sure, they are playing for the North title, but no matter who vegas is favoring, when teams play Nebraska, they always know they need to bring it, and the Husker players know that, and dont wanna give it up..

Husker pride baby
